Once the library reopens and it is safe to gather in groups, we will resume our regular meetings. You will be notified via email of any upcoming meetings or events.

  • Reimbursement funds are available for mitigation done on your property between January 2017 and May 2018. Contact Dave Root at david.root@colostate.edu or 719-687-2921 to see if you are eligible for reimbursement.

Fire Safety Reminder:

Remember Arabian Acres residents must follow all Teller County fire bans and burn restrictions. It is also very important to keep slash in your yard to a minimum. You can get more information from Divide Fire Department, and from our Wildfire Protection page. And remember to sign up for community safety alerts at nixle.com. We all benefit when our neighbors are fire wise!

Be Bear Aware! Do Your Part to Keep Bears Wild

From the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website: Today, bears are sharing space with a growing human population. Curious, intelligent, and very resourceful, black bears will explore all possible food sources. If they find food near homes, campgrounds, vehicles, or communities, they’ll come back for more. Bears will work hard to get the calories they need, and can easily damage property, vehicles, and homes. Bears that become aggressive in their pursuit of an easy meal must often be destroyed. Every time we’re forced to destroy a bear, it’s not just the bear that loses. We all lose a little piece of the wildness that makes Colorado so special. So please, get the information you need, and share it with your friends, neighbors, and community. If you need more, we’re here to help! Please do your part to keep bears wild.

Don’t Feed Deer and other Wildlife

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife—whose mission is to protect and enhance the state’s wild creatures—knows how much people love Colorado wildlife. They love to watch the animals, learn about them, photograph them, hunt them and, on occasion, even feed them. We know people mean well when they give tidbits to wildlife. What many don’t realize is that feeding big game is bad for the animals and dangerous for people. It’s also against the law. There are lots of good reasons why. While putting out food for animals like foxes and deer seems harmless, repercussions can be disastrous. Please don't feed the wildlife! For more information, visit Colorado Parks & Wildlife at: http://cpw.state.co.us/learn/Pages/do-not-feed-wildlife.aspx

PLEASE Be a Responsible Dog Owner

Arabian Acres covenants require that dogs be either on a leash or kept fenced at all times. It’s also encouraged, as a courtesy to neighbors, that residents do their best to keep barking to a minimum.  And, of course, always pick up after your dog. Thank you!
